Lake Conroe Rentals

Resort Or Rental Property? Lake Conroe Has Both!

Thinking of renting a cabin or lake house on Lake Conroe?  Or would you like the all inclusive hospitality of a resort like La Torretta or Bentwater?  Read on and see what Paul has to say about the pros and cons of each.

Vacation Accommodations: Vacation Rentals vs. Resorts

By Paul Orr

Choosing your accommodations is a big part of planning a vacation. There are many types of places to stay. Two of the most popular are traditional resorts and vacation rentals which are growing in popularity. Resorts are large, usually company owned hotels. Vacation rentals are usually individually owned and can be houses, apartments or condos. The difference between the two are distinct, but they do have some similarities. When choosing which is best for you it might be easier to compare the two.

Vacation rentals take you from a crowd to an individual place. You are renting a home, basically. You do not have to worry about noisy neighbors or being interrupted by service workers. You have the freedom and ability to cook for yourself and even have a little private party of you wish. Vacation rentals can be very affordable. When you consider having to rent a couple rooms for your family verses only one rental house you can see why you can save money. They also do not have the staff expenses. Although, some vacation rentals do offer outside services that may add a little extra to your bill, but allow you to keep aspects of a hotel. For example, they might provide you with a chef to cook your evening meals or a maid to tidy up for you. Vacation rentals also tend to have more space than you would get in a traditional hotel room. You have greater privacy also. Vacation rentals can be found almost anywhere you want to vacation and prices come to fit in all budgets.

Resorts are the idea of luxury while vacationing. You have someone to take care of everything you hate to do at home, from cleaning to cooking. You can get a range of services for a range of prices with resorts. If you are looking for a vacation package you can usually get the resort included. This allows you to know exactly how much you will spend and have everything taken care of in one attempt. Resorts offer many extra services besides basic housekeeping and cooking. Some resorts have dance instructors and nannies on staff, to give two examples. You can spend the day busy with resort sponsored activities or just lounge around relaxing. You get top of the line service and never ending fun when staying at a resort.

Vacation rentals and resorts offer two different kinds of vacation experiences. Choosing between them is a matter of your personal preference. You need to decide how you want to spend your vacation. If you want privacy and the comforts of home then choose a vacation rental. If you want to be pampered and enjoy lots of activities then choose a resort. The type of vacation you have could really be influenced by where you stay, so be sure to explore each option before deciding.

Rent A Cabin On Lake Conroe For Family Fun!

Want to get away from it all but still have some amenities? Why not rent a cabin?  Have the great outdoors and more than just a tent between you and that great outdoors.  Check out this article by John Tateman , he lays it out for ya.

Renting a cabin for you and your family for a Texas fishing trip can be an exciting adventure.Enjoying the rustic atmosphere of a cabin versus staying in a motel can make your fishing trip all the more memorable. Lake Rental cabins are more expensive than traditional accommodations, but well worth the extra expense.
When searching for lake cabins for rent, first determine your budget because
there are upscale marinas and campgrounds that are somewhat out of reach for
most families. These we’ll leave for another discussion. The cabins for rent that
are appealing to most families are the ones with a lake view, somewhat secluded
in that you are not sharing your vacation with a host of neighbors, or listing
to someone’s favorite loud music.
Cabins for rent are abundant on Texas lakes, but you must do your research. The prices can range from $80.00 to $150.00 per day with weekly rates adjusted lower. Many fishing guides live on
their home lake and more are offering cabins for rent on their property. This is
an ideal situation because in addition to the seclusion and staying away from
the crowds, you have the guide’s expertise and lake fishing tips. East Texas
lake guides offer these accommodations more than the other parts of the state.
Always be clear as to what comes with the cabin. Usually they come complete with bedding, kitchen setup, towels etc. However, in some of the more rustic cabins, you the renter must
bring your own bedding, kitchen supplies, towels etc.
In conclusion:
Renting a cabin is probably the most enjoyable experience when on a family
fishing and camping trip. You are away from the crowds or in a small campground
or marina. I highly recommend it for your next vacation.John Tatman is an avid fisherman in Texas reporting on the best Texas lakes.

Pontoon Boats, Its a Party Barge!

Here is an interesting article on Pontoon Boats, they are a load of fun! Check around the site to find out where on Lake Conroe you can rent them. Until the Enjoy this article!

All About Pontoon Boats by David Spates
Lots of boaters these days prefer a pontoon boat over a normal ski/fishing boat. So if you are searching for some information on pontoon boats and what they are, then you have came to the right article. See pontoon boats come in many sizes, and a few different varieties.
One type of pontoon boat is the inflatable pontoon boat, which are mostly used for river fishing and in some cases can be used for river rapids. The inflatable pontoon boat usually holds about 2-3 people, they are really like a decked out canoe,  except most of them have motors powering them,  so you can have a whole lot of fun with them. They are very popular among fishermen, they are small and fit into tight places in rivers and streams that you may not be able to reach in a normal size boat.
Inflatable pontoon boats can range in price from 800 dollars and up, depending on whether you are looking to buy new or used inflatable pontoon boat.
The next design I am going to go over are the motorized deck pontoons, these are similar to house boats in a way, they have a level deck, with 2 to 3 cylinder shaped pontoons attached to the deck, causing the boat to float. The pontoons are made out of aluminum in most cases, which is very light and will avoid rusting.
There are usually rails all around the boat up to about two to three feet from the bow. Deck pontoon boats can range in size from 16-28 foot in length. Pontoon boats can be could for a family vacation out on the water, since their flat shaped deck allows more room for small crowds to get around comfortably compared to other types of motorized boats.
Pontoon boats can also be made into a great boat for fishing, you can invite your pals out to fish, drink, party, sunbathe, anything your mind could imagine. You can also find pontoon boats that are made for speed to if you would like to engage in some water skiing, or any other water sport you could think of. The faster pontoon boats made for speed normally have big engines, about 220 horse power or more, and if you really want to go fast, you might want to look into the boats that have three pontoons, they are a bit more expensive but you have to pay extra to go fast.
The degree of customization you can do to a pontoon boat is limitless, because of the flat design there are so many things you could do. The majority of pontoon boats have bimini tops that can be raised up or down, some have built in tops, or sun roofs,  so that you can jump or dive off of them, and some might even come with a slide attached to the sun roof.
Bottom line is that pontoon boats are great for the family, and are great for friends. The only main downside is, that they are not designed to go out into the ocean at all, so you will not be doing any deep sea fishing in a pontoon boat. There bow is very close to the water, and it is not going to take a big wave to crash over the deck, which could be very dangerous, so if you are into deep sea fishing, then a pontoon boat is not for you.
David Spates has been into boating his whole life and enjoys writing and working on boats. If you are looking into purchasing a pontoon boat then please stop by his site for some great deals. Used Pontoon Boats For Sale

Is A Boat Rental Club Right For You?

Is A Boat Rental Club Right For You?

Author: Kadence Buchanan

Owning a boat is a dream for many Americans, but one that can turn into a nightmare of unforeseen costs. Many novice boaters don’t realize all the costs associated with purchasing a boat and wind up with an expensive driveway ornament aside their car instead because they can’t afford gas, insurance or the other myriad things boat owners must pay for.

In recent years, enterprising business people have begun offering a solution for the high price of boat ownership: Boat rental clubs. These clubs rent out their fleet of boats to members on a daily, weekend or even monthly basis at a discounted cost. For example, one marina in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida charges non-members $329 to rent a 21-foot bow rider, but a member of the club would pay just $136, not including gasoline.

Typically, boat rental club members must pay yearly dues in order to receive the discounted prices. However, once most boaters add up the costs of insurance, gasoline, storage, docking and maintenance, not to mention the actual purchase of the boat itself, they find that joining a rental club saves them money. Boat rental clubs may also offer their members other benefits such as discounts on equipment rentals like skis or scuba gear, discounts at local restaurants and a special price on gasoline and oil.

Membership plans vary from club to club. Some offer annual memberships with a high initial cost and lower costs for renewals. Some offer a flat annual fee with no further rental costs. Some offer seasonal memberships. Be sure you understand all the terms of the membership agreement and don’t allow yourself to be pressured into more of a membership than you feel you need. For example, if you’re new to boating and unsure how much you will actually use your membership, a multi-year contract is probably not the best choice for you.

Finally, if you are an avid boater and plan on taking your boat out for several days every week, or for a series of long trips, a boat rental club may not offer you the same savings as it would a more casual boater. To see if a rental club would save you money, total up all the costs associated with your boat and divide that by the number of days you plan to use it in a year. Then add up all the costs associated with a boat rental club membership and divide by the number of days you will use your membership. Whichever number is lower will be the most cost-effective option for you.

The need for taking regular breaks from the kind of life that one leads cannot be gainsaid. If you have a very hectic life, the best way to rejuvenate yourself is to go on a vacation where you will be able relax amidst soothing natural surroundings. In case you are not sure about the place where you will be able to enjoy a great holiday, consider going to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Few things beat the experience of living and traveling on a houseboat at this place. Brian and Lauren Matney found the place to be so nice that they bought a houseboat and decided to live in the boat throughout the year!
You may not be as fortunate as them, but you may hire a lake vacation rentalfor a few days and experience the pleasures that this wonderful tourist site has to offer.
There are several activities that you may indulge in at Lake Cumberland. This water body was formed when a dam was built to generate hydroelectric power and prevent floods. With a 2,020 kilometer shoreline and a 265 square kilometer surface area, the water body is ideal for water sports and sailing. Big South Fork is a great place for whitewater adventure. Rafting, canoeing, and kayaking opportunities draw many adventure lovers.
People also come to fish in this area because trout and bass are found aplenty in the artificial water body. A large number of saugers that are generally impossible to catch in warm weather are concentrated below the dam of River Cumberland in winter. Saugers are considered to be one of the tastiest fish known to man.
The area around the water body has rolling hills, deep forests, and interesting wildlife spotting opportunities. You may go into the wilderness to camp in the open, enjoy leisurely strolls on the shore of the water body, or explore the place on your bike. The Bee Rock Recreation Area, Beaver Creek Wilderness Trails, Yahoo Falls Scenic Area, Daniel Boone Forest, and Rockcastle Narrows Trail also attract people from different parts of the country so it may be a good idea to book a lake vacation rental to make the trip more hassle-free.
There are several types of lake vacation rental facilities available in the area. Though these are not very expensive, you can enjoy all creature comforts that you want beside the picturesque lake.

Lake Vacation Rentals – A Holiday Maker’s Delight

Lake Vacation Rentals – A Holiday Maker’s Delight

Author: Kilian

The importance of taking a break from one’s daily chores cannot be undermined. The adage “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” endorses the view that vacations do play a vital role in recharging and rejuvenating one’s entire being. Vacations or getaways can be of various types. The adventurous ones can go on a trekking trip to the hills. Others can have a laid back holiday on one of the sandy beaches. There are still others who would prefer a quiet vacation in the vicinity of some picturesque lake. Lake vacation rentals are an answer to those people looking out for spending the time in a quiet, cozy manner, combining the personal warmth and comforts of a home. Whether it is a family vacation or a newly wed couple’s honeymoon trip, these lake vacation rentals provide the perfect ambience and services one is looking for. Lake vacation rentals generally combine the extravagance of a luxury resort with all the modern amenities, and also the economy and homely feel of guest house. They can be in the nature of privately owned homes, condominiums, apartments, and villas which can be hired by holiday makers from their owners. Activities in and around the lakes may include fishing, rafting, camping and hunting around the wilderness. Water sports as kayaking, and parasailing are also common. Biking or cycling around the tranquil lake is another option. Some of the vacation rentals may have provisions for playing golf. Luxury rental homes often have a swimming pool, hot tubs, and tennis and basketball courts. One can wander about leisurely soaking in the beauty of nature, and dine in the various eateries located within the lake’s vicinity. Otherwise he has the option of indulging in a lavish spread at the vacation rental itself. The choice rests entirely upon the guest. There is also the option of visiting the local market at the closest proximity to the lake, to purchase some souvenirs. The total experience of staying at these vacation rentals around the lake are bound to refresh his senses, and infuse a new life in him. With the access of internet, one can gather ideas about the different lake vacation rentals that exist globally. In fact, information is at everyone’s fingertips. However the flip side to the story is that there are many websites that can misguide an information seeker by making tall, claims, and have tendencies to post information lacking in authenticity. Herein lays the trouble. The person intending to gather ideas on vacation rentals should pay a visit to a reliable website for authentic data collection and verify or cross verify that data to arrive at a concrete vacation plan.
