About Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe is located approximately one hour north of downtown Houston (via IH-45), in Montgomery County, Texas. The lakeĀ covers 21,000 acres, and is approximately 21 miles long.
The entire north end of Lake Conroe is encompassed by Sam Houston
National Forest, affording a spectacular boating getaway as well as
hiking or wildlife viewing.
The Lone Star Hiking Trail, located in Sam Houston National Forest,
Features 127 miles of overland hiking trails.
Lake Conroe features many restaurants that you can boat to, from
McDonalds, to fine dinning and everything in between. Many of which
feature live music for your entertainment.
Fishing is hot at Lake Conroe; black bass, white bass, catfish,
crappie & striper.
